Laowa Nanomorph LF Prime 4-Lens Bundle (32mm, 42mm, 55mm, 85mm) (Silver)
Description
The Nanomorph LF 1.5X Anamorphic set is a professional-grade series of lenses designed to cover Large Format and Full Frame sensors, delivering a consistent 1.5x squeeze ratio. These lenses provide exceptional image quality, ideal for theatrical productions and high-end films. It targets delivering exceptional image quality for theatrical and high-end film projects. This series redefines anamorphic capabilities with ease of access for a broad scope of filmmakers.
Beyond Full Frame Coverage
The large image circle (Ø44.71mm) reduces vignetting and ensures optimal coverage for the ARRI Alexa LF 4.5K Open Gate (⌀44.71mm), maximizing resolution without cropping. It supports full-frame sensors and multiple aspect ratios (16:9, 3:2, 4:3), allowing seamless output to 2:1, 2.25:1, 2.66:1, and 2.4:1 while preserving image quality.
Constant 1.5x Squeeze Ratio
With a 1.5x squeeze ratio, you will achieve a 2.66:1 aspect ratio on a 16:9 sensor after de-squeezing. Compared to a 1.33x anamorphic lens, the Laowa Nanomorph 1.5x Series delivers a much more pronounced anamorphic and cinematic look. With a 1.8x or 2x squeeze ratio, the size of the lens would also significantly larger, and much of the image is wasted when paired with a 16:9 sensor.
Consistent Oval Bokeh From Centre to Edge
The 1.5x squeeze ratio delivers signature anamorphic characteristics, creating a smooth, organic waterfall focus roll-off in the background—one of the most sought-after traits in the film industry. “Moon-shaped” bokeh isn’t for everyone. The Nanomorph LF offers a more consistent bokeh across the frame.
Outstanding Image Quality
If you have a variety of storytelling styles, this lens is perfect for you. It delivers impressive image quality for both theatrical and cinematic use, offering versatility for different productions while matching modern sensors. It gives filmmakers ample room for creative post-production work, giving extra flexbility in creativity.
Great Flexibility in Composition
Some anamorphic lenses in the market create a “swimming effect” near the edges, overcompressing objects and limiting creative freedom. The Nanomorph LF offers excellent edge distortion control, allowing for more flexibility in composition.
