Description
The LeftField 3 Baseplate for Canon C400 provides the Open•UP quick-release system at the correct height for the Canon C400. With the camera set to the 15mm LWS standard height, you can accessorize with support rods and a range of other accessories.
The LeftField 3 Baseplate kit mounts to any ARRI standard dovetail, and includes a 100mm for convenient setup.
- Quick-Release – the Open•UP system allows you to seamlessly remove the LeftField baseplate from the dovetail.
- 15mm LWS – The LeftField Baseplate and Riser set the C400 to the 15mm LWS standard height.
- Sliding Travel – The LeftField baseplate can slide on a dovetail for optimized balance.
- Secure Mounting – The C400 Riser provides a steady base for the camera with rubber inlays to prevent twisting.
- Designed for Canon C400 – Keep the Baseplate when you upgrade and simply replace the Riser.

Open•UP Mechanism
The Open•UP system makes it easy to set up your setup. Open•UP baseplates allow you to lower your camera rig directly onto an ARRI-standard dovetail. If you half-close the locking lever, you can still slide the dovetail back-and-forth for optimised balance. Use the lever on the side to transition between locked, sliding and unlocked on the dovetail.
Level Up Your Setup
The LeftField 3 baseplate also features independently-locking rod brackets, set to the 15mm LWS rod standard. When paired with the included C400 Riser, your camera will be at the perfect height for complex rigging. Correctly rig up matte boxes, follow-focus wheels and more with just a handful of rods.
Any ARRI Dovetail
LeftField baseplates are compatible with ARRI dovetails of any length, for convenient use with tripods, gimbals and other mounting points. If you don’t have a dovetail, there's one in the kit: which features 1/4" and 3/8” screw threads for convenient attaching to different surfaces.
